| We drove down to Fontana from Vegas to run at a private event put on monthly at California Speedway. I ran a new personal best...not exactly what I was shooting for but oh well, I was pretty consistant the whole day/night. It was also great to hang out with the Socal guys again. Some of the nicest guys you could want to meet. Speaking of nice guys, Mark Leader (Sirpriz) met me there with my Z and it's brand spanking new roll cage. He was kind enough to pick it up from the shop I left it at on Tuesday and drive it to the track for me. Thanks again Mark!! If anyone is in need of a roll cage and is in driving distance of LA I highly recommend Rebs. They have done about a dozen Z32's and they all came out great. I must say I am in love with the Leader 4.10's. They picked me up about .2 in the quarter...but what's more is they are such a blast to drive with on the street. Like Nixit said a while back they make 5th gear feel like 4th. Boost comes on so much quicker. By far the best bang for the buck IMO. Unfortunately, my scanner isnt working for crap right now so I'll just type out the #'s:
60'......1.617 330.....4.746 1/8.....7.327 MPH....97.88 1000...9.553 1/4.....11.416 MPH....121.32 My previous best was an 11.61....I know I have low 11's in the car but this is my first time out with the new gears and a few other goodies so I have to be patient, I know. Mark actually stuck a 1.54 60' for me at the end of the night but hit the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift and still ran an 11.5 Congrats to Zo for running 137mph and to Dean for sticking a handfull of 1.5x 60's and a perfect light...also to Mike Homer for his 11.7x on stock turbo's! I believe Spongerider also had a new personal best but I cant remember it off the top of my head (feel free to post it up Dean). Again, it was great to see you all again, we had an absolute blast.
